Boise VAMC serves veterans primarily from southern Idaho and eastern Oregon. In addition to our main medical center in Boise, Idaho we offer a number of services to our patients in our Outpatient Clinics located in Caldwell, Twin Falls, Mountain Home and Salmon, Idaho; as well as Burns, Oregon.
Boise VAMC has a Police Service. Our officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial 208-422-1000 ext. 1122. In case of an emergency, dial 208-422-1000 ext.1122. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
Because the VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found is located in building 88, Community Living Center. You may also contact them at 208-422-1000 ext. 1149.
A nondenominational chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital. Worship services are held on a regular basis. Please contact Chaplain Service at 208-422-1000 ext.1362 for additional information or to speak with one of our chaplains.
Parking at the Boise VA Medical Center can be challenging during peak days/times. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and/or visit with patients during non-peak hours. During normal business hours the DAV provides transportation services from VA parking lots to the main entrance. If you are not able to flag down the DAV van you are welcome to call (208) 422-1000 ext. 7555 to ask for a ride.
