In 2010 the Boise VA Surgery Services began what would be a five-year long renovation to keep up with medical advances and an ever-growing demand for care, with a 50% increase in demand for surgical specialty services projected by 2025. The facility underwent an aggressive 3-staged construction project resulting in 4 new and modernized Operating Rooms, Post-operative Care Unit, Preoperative and Ambulatory Surgery Unit, and ICU. By incorporating the latest medical technologies, we continue to be able to deliver world-class service to Veterans. Surgery Services offers a broad range of surgical specialties making it easier for veterans to receive the care they need at the Boise VA. Surgery Services is committed to providing the highest quality care while always striving for continuous improvement. Surgical Specialties currently available at the Boise VAMC include:
