Thanksgiving Day Safety Precautions: can be found here at the CDC website. Please click the link and read thru some of these ideas, and do your best to have a safe and meaningful holiday celebration with your loved ones. If not done properly, Thanksgiving Day celebrations could drastically increase COVID transmission in our community. Please practice safe Thanksgiving Day celebrations by following the CDC's recommended safety guidelines. 

The Boise VA Medical Center will receive a supply of COVID19 vaccines. However, a lot of the information surrounding when, how, what we will receive is still unknown at this time. Please click the link here to view a Q&A factsheet that describes the latest information about the COVID19 vaccine. 

Key Points from the factsheet include:

  • The Boise VA Medical Center will receive COVID19 vaccines from national sources.
  • The VA’s goal is to provide COVID19 vaccination to anyone (staff and patients) who want/need it.
  • We do not know when we will receive supplies of vaccine, but estimate we could receive as early as Jan/Feb.
  • Receiving the vaccine is voluntary for VA staff and employees.
  • There will initially be a limited supply of the COVID19 vaccine.
  • VA staff and veterans will be prioritized to determine who will receive first supplies of vaccine.
